Ridgefield artist Christopher Curnan made a fellow business owner and longtime Ridgefield resident very happy yesterday. "It was a total surprise and took my breath away," Margaret Price, the owner of Ridgefield Supply says of the grand American Flag that Chris so artfully and thoughtfully created for her.

The 4 plus acre lumberyard on Prospect Street in Ridgefield is currently undergoing an expansion. Curnan took some of the materials that were being discarded to create memories that will now last a lifetime. "The wood is from the train station that we dismantled. We are not reusing the siding, but we saved it," explains Price.

Chris Curnan affectionately calls the beautiful American Flag "Lou's Pride" in memory of Margaret Price's dad, Louis who passed away at the age of 66 last year. "It will hang in our new warehouse! Lou would be proud," proclaims Price. Price says of the duo, "They were very close".
